Boasting the honour of being Liverpool’s first interior design boutique, having been opened in 1988 by founders Terry and Brenda, Two 2 Nine Design have made a huge name for themselves in the North of England. However, the legacy of Two 2 Nine Design does not stop there, reaching all the way to the shores of Barbados.
Since refurbishment, the Lone Star Hotel is defined by its fresh, modern designs breathing an air of luxury. From door to the terrace, Terry and Brenda have let the luxury suites and their dreamy setting speak for themselves. Keeping things minimalist and cool, the white Corvette suite feels even more spacious than it already is, something needed in the harsh heat of the Caribbean. The real charm of the Corvette suite is it’s backing onto the garden and the ability to catch the ocean breeze right from your room. The simple design and décor doesn’t overpower the beautiful setting that guests are jet setting for.
Keeping the colour scheme relaxed and cooling, the Buick suite’s pops of greys and blues bring a strong nautical feel to the Oceanside pseudo-apartment. The colours of the ocean are reflected in the ocean view living area. This is nothing ground breaking, but it’s simple, striking and meets the purpose of a luxury hotel- to keep guests indulged and taken care of.
The living area reflects the ocean it sits next to in its colours and tone. Despite the Buick suite having been designed for two guests, Two 2 Nine have filled it with a range of different sating options. From plush sofas to gaze upon the water on, to love seats and atypical tables and chairs. The various living areas create a home away from home feel, a distinct larger than life vibe in one, decently sized suite.
Whilst this living area is more functional than stylish, it’s focus being on the view, the addition of the wooden ladder and wall mounted lighting pull the eye back inwards. There may be oh so much to see out there, but the small details remind guests why they’ve chosen to stay at the Lone Star to begin with.
Two 2 Nine Designs are a long-established company with their presence deeply felt within Liverpool and echoing around the world. Products are available to buy in their Liverpool boutique, and they are open to both domestic and commercial designing.
