Ansell Lighting have spent over 25 years growing from a fledgling business that made £70 in its first month to a company worth £38m.

LED has been at the forefront of their plans going forward for nearly 15 years, even more so after Ansell were acquired by the Endo Lighting Corporation in 2014.

The long-established Endo Corp have been manufacturing luminaires for over 40 years from Japan, Thailand and China.

Ansell released their first LED product in 2004 and research into the latest technologies is driven by both them and their parent company.

The Endo Corp have made nothing but LEDs since 2008, so they are like-minded with Ansell about how such expertise is the future of the sector.

LED is fast moving and game changing technology within the lighting industry, from which forward-thinking manufacturers are developing a vast array of uses.

A genuine equivalent to traditional light sources, comparable to 50 Watt Halogen and even 35 Watt Metal Halide bulbs, are now dominating the marketplace.

Such systems can mean huge savings, in comparison, and switching to low energy bulbs is an easy way to reduce carbon emissions.

Demand for LED products has soared as a result, with Ansell now having a wider distribution network all over the world through Endo Corp.

Ansell have also retained their bases in the England, where it all started for them in Belfast and beyond.

They were Supplier of the Year for 2017 with both the IBA and AWEBB Buying Group and have previously been Best Product at the Electrical Wholesaler Awards in 2006.

They have built up over 25 years experience, from 1992, in the design and infrastructure of high quality luminaires for domestic, commercial, industrial and architectural use.

It came from humble beginnings joining Northern Ireland’s electrical wholesale market, gleaning that sum of £70 for their first trading month of business in August of that year.

They have since made £1million from one month of trading and grew at pace with a major expansion of their lighting design department.

They patented their first product, the fire rated iCage, in 2009. Durable LED products followed with the first AC LED fire-rated downlight, designed in 2014.

They’ve gone from strength to strength with the Endo Corp and their latest catalogue of goods, Solutions 11, is a far cry from their first product of goods list in their formative year.

Their home for manufacturing became Golborne in Warrington, Cheshire, to heighten their supply network for England, Scotland and Wales.

Sales and distribution output remains in Belfast and now at the M2 Business Park, but they’ve forged operations themselves as far afield as Dongguan City, Southern China.

Throw the Endo Corp’s reach into this mix and you can add Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, India and the United States.

They grew at pace with a major expansion of their lighting design department and have gone from strength to strength.

With the ways and means to get their products out there in swift order working efficiently, their in-house design team can concentrate on the latest advances in LED. endorse Ansell as a company who can meet all of your lighting solutions going forward.
